Alcohol and the Older Adult
The goal of this course is to provide the nurse with an overview of alcohol use in the older population. The course starts by providing statistics regarding the disease's prevalence in the older population. Then, it discusses the presenting features of alcohol use and describes screening tools for alcohol use disease. It concludes with a discussion of the treatment of alcohol use disorder, including acute and chronic management.
