The purpose of this course is to give healthcare professionals an overview of hypoglycemia including the symptoms, causes, and prevention. A summary of the physiology of glucose and how the human body utilizes and controls glucose is included to give the learner a greater understanding of what can impact glycemic control, even in non-diabetic patients. Treatment options are also discussed with an emphasis on patient education and self-management techniques.
