The purpose of this course is to provide a basic overview of threats that may impact nursing in the changing world around us. Nurses will learn about illnesses that arise from various bioterrorism chemicals and how to treat patients. In addition to learning about signs and symptoms of illness, dealing with a large influx of patients will be addressed. The effects on mental health will also be discussed.
