This course meets the Category A - Laws and Rules - requirement for nurses in the state of Ohio. This course will familiarize nurses with the fundamentals of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) determined by legislature. This code is the legal basis for evaluating and disciplining nurses in the state of Ohio. Using the ORC, the Board determines the boundaries of safe practice, nursing process, safety, discipline, and delegation also known as the Ohio Administrative Code. It is of utmost importance that each nurse in Ohio be familiar with the standards of each major area of practice.
