Infectious Diseases: E. coli (Escherichia coli) Infections
The purpose of this course is to describe the transmission, symptoms, and treatment for intestinal Escherichia coli (E. coli) infections, focusing on serotypes O157:H7, O111, and O26, which are the most common causes of enterohemorrhagic diarrhea outbreaks in the United States, and other diarrheogenic strains related to travelers’ diarrhea as well as food safety issues.
