The purpose of this course is to introduce and present the healing power that support groups can have—both for patients and for the healthcare professionals that care for them. The goal of this course is to introduce the nurse to the healing power that support groups can provide and to enhance the skills of the nurse as a group facilitator. It offers tools and techniques for the nurse who wants to utilize support groups in his or her practice.
