This course provides the reader with updated information on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) including deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary emboli (PE). Risk factors for DVT including a review of the clotting process are discussed. Anticoagulation therapy along with non-pharmacologic measures are reviewed.
