This course meets the Category A - Law and Rules - requirement for the state of Ohio. This course will familiarize nurses with the fundamentals of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). This code is the legal basis for evaluating and disciplining nurses in the state of Ohio. The Board determines the boundaries of safe practice, nursing process, safety, discipline, and delegation. It is of utmost importance that each nurse in Ohio be familiar with the standards of each major area of practice.
