The goal of this course is to provide the professional nurse with a better understanding of the role that the plantar fascia plays in walking; and to describe a condition known as plantar fasciitis. The cause of plantar fasciitis, and risks associated with the development of plantar fasciitis will be provided. This foot disorder is common among athletes and a large percentage of people who spend most of their time on their feet.
