Cardiac ECG Essentials
This course will provide the participant with the knowledge necessary for cardiac rhythm interpretation. The 12-lead ECG, which is comprised of the precordial (anterior chest) leads and the limb leads will be examined and anatomical locations defined. The waveforms, intervals, and components of the ECG complex are identified, and their correspondence to cardiac function is discussed. Various methods of calculating heart rate will be explained.
