This course will introduce the neurodegenerative disorder Rett Syndrome. It will discuss the genetic cause of the syndrome as well as the patient population it effects. The criteria for a diagnosis of Rett Syndrome and the common symptoms of the disorder will be explained. Finally, the common treatment options will be discussed to explain what supportive care is available for patients.
